Changyang Lee, the minister of Trade, Industry, and Energy visited the Seoun Plant of YG-1 located in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, South Korea, to praise the manufacturer's hard work and address the challenges in the field.
He toured the plant's production line of end mills and drills, and also was introduced to YG-1's manufacturing capabilities such as a smart factory process monitoring system. Through constant technology development, he appreciated its competitiveness and distinction as the global No.1 in end mill products.
Chairman Hokeun Song mentioned, “YG-1 should export consistently in order to achieve continuous growth and to stand as a global leading company.” and requested financial support to boost exports and the policy for strengthening manufacturing competitiveness.
Minister Changyang Lee mentioned the difficulties at production sites due to population decline. And he promised the government would mobilize all possible capabilities to prop up manufacturing competitiveness as well as smart factory and automation technology.
This visitation was meaningful for YG-1 to be recognized for its brand power accumulated by exporting cutting tools to 75 countries worldwide.
