YG-1 Launches Solid Miniature Turning ‘NanoCut BP Series’ for Boring & Profiling Application

Optimized for Small Diameter Applications with High Precision and Productivity
As demand for small parts such as electronics, telecommunication, medical instruments, and implants increases, demand for small machining tools that are capable of high-precision processing is also increasing. To address this industrial trend, YG-1 has newly launched solid miniature turning ‘NanoCut’, optimized for small diameter applications.
The new NanoCut Boring & Profiling ‘BP series’ is optimized for boring, profiling, grooving and chamfering of small components with minimum diameter Ø 1 mm (.039”). NanoCut offers superior level of toughness and wear resistance through dedicated grade technology such as submicron carbide substrates, meeting the demands in high precision machining. The internal coolant feature results in enhanced chip evacuation, longer and predictable tool life, reducing machine down time and lowering machining cost.
YG-1 is continuously developing NanoCut geometries for various applications. Portfolio expansions such as ‘Boring with Chipbreaker’, ‘90˚ Boring’, ‘Profiling’, ‘Grooving Square’, ‘Grooving Round’, ‘Face Grooving Internal’, ‘Face Grooving External’ and ‘Chamfering’ are to be released in the near future.
